Street Defender protection sliders Yamaha MT-07 / XSR 700 new design Evotech

The new Evotech protection rollers have been designed and manufactured to absorb impact in the event of a fall. This means that the impact is absorbed by the pad rather than directly affecting the frame.

In the event of a fall, the pad is pushed against a calibrated spacer with an increasing diameter. This produces deformation of the slider, thereby reducing the energy generated by the impact.

Tests conducted in the laboratory and on the road have shown a significant reduction in the stress transmitted to the frame compared to other products on the market.

The pad is made from a blend of plastic and fiberglass. It combines high shock absorption with strong abrasion resistance. In this way, the pad slides on the asphalt without excessive wear.

The aerodynamic shape of the pad not only gives a more aggressive look to the motorcycle but also minimizes the possibility of the pad locking in the event of a collision with an obstacle.

A graduated scale is also engraved on the plastic pads which, in the event of a fall, will provide an indication of the shock resistance.

The main body is made from black anodized machined aluminum for longevity. Its diameter and section are both calibrated to further reduce the stresses induced by the frame in the event of a fall.
